We began stewarding this lot in April 2023. We discovered that the lot has been a dumping ground for a railroad for some time. They have dumped tons of asphalt and it all needs to be discarded and the soil remediated before a beautiful garden can emerge.
The Phoenix House is a family of a single mother and her six children. Ramona, known as The Phoenix in gaming communities, is the matriarch of the Phoenix House. The other members are Diamond, Taylor, Solomon, Carmen, Angelia, and Josiah. Together the family decided to create their own legacy. They started with their shared values and then made it official in 2020 with the creation of a family crest and coat of arms. The crest is a rising phoenix. The Coat of Arms consist of a banner with two Latin phrases. On the top banner it's written Mollitiam which means resilience. The family has shown true resilience in the face of several challenges through the years including, but not limited to, domestic violence and homelessness. The bottom banner states, Incrementum Questae which means growth mindset. In order to overcome challenges and be the best they can be, they decided to develop a growth mindset where they will always move forward, think positive and try their best. Two alicorns hold up the shield which bares the family symbols of art, acting, creatures of flight, and plant life. The family consists of many talented members, artists, content creators, actors, producers, musicians, and poets. The family tends to adore winged creatures such as butterflies, moths, and chickens. They also currently lives in "Birdtown" Baltimore, Md. Lastly plants, horticulture, agriculture and anything natrure related is a passion of many of the members of the Phoenix House. After consideration of which symbols best fit their talents and values, they decided on the one shown on the Coat of Arms.
The Phoenix House has been blessed with a few gifted writers and poets. Here are the published works of those artist beginning with one short story by our matriarch's father. Stay tuned!
